Yesterday we had our Easter Egg Hunt at church and the Easter bunny made an appearance there. As you can see Brooke was not too sure about sitting in the Easter bunny’s lap.

The kids had a blast hunting eggs and playing on the inflatable bouncy castle and slide. Now my problem is keeping them out of all the candy that was in the eggs.

I clip mine…and she clips hers.

Brooke is obsessed with Princesses and pretends to be one at some point every day. Tonight she got all decked out in a pretty little dress her Aunt Janna and Uncle Richard got her for Christmas. She absolutely loves this dress. And you might have guessed, she calls it her Princess dress.

We added the purse and heels. Then I flat ironed her hair to finish off the look. I couldn’t help but have her pose for a few camera shots. Well, maybe we got a little carried away, but it sure was fun.

I think the camera loves her, but you know I’m just a little partial.

Yesterday, I turned around to grab my Sobe Lifewater only to find an apple balanced on the side of the lid.

Okay, so I intended on doing this little project before Thanksgiving but I just didn’t get it all together to it then. It’s a collage of photos of things in our lives we are thankful for. I decided it was still a good craft to do even after Thanksgiving because we should be thankful all year round not just on a day designated as a day of thanksgiving.

While David was at school I cut a bunch of pictures out of my old magazines of things I thought the kids would like. Of course, I couldn’t find two of all the same pictures so I decided, in order to minimize arguing over who got which picture, to let them take turns choosing pictures. Being the youngest, Brooke got to go first. It worked out beautifully. No arguing! Can you believe that?

I snapped a photo while they were working away, and then since David wouldn’t cooperate by holding his picture up for me to take a picture, I propped their papers on the couch and took a photo of the results. I thought they came out really good.

At the very least, the kids had a lot of fun picking out pictures of things they enjoy.

Yes. This morning we woke up to find snow outside.  The kids were adamant about getting out there to play in it. I can’t imagine why, but nevertheless they were very excited.

This was Brooke’s first time getting to play in snow. The last time it snowed she was too young to get out there. Bless her heart, she doesn’t have any gloves of her own so she had to use mine and needless to say, they were slightly large on her little hands. However, I’m fairly certain that Santa has been informed and will be helping her out in this area.

Anyway, I suppose you want to see pictures of the kids so I’ve added them below.

I also wanted to add this sweet message that Chuck left for the kids this morning before leaving to go to a meeting at church.

So, here’s what we did…

Step One:

Collect all broken crayon pieces from the bottom of the crayon box and remove their paper.

Step Two:

Line a muffin pan with paper liners and put crayon pieces in each cup.

Step Three:

Place the muffin pan in the oven at 300˚ for about 10 minutes.

Step Four:

Let them cool for about 20 minutes and remove paper liners.

Step Five:

Duh!! Give them to the kids and let them color away.

Now, wasn’t that easy (and fun)?

David got these funny glasses a while back at school. Well, the other night Brooke came walking through the house with them on and she looked so cute. Needless to say, we all had to try them on.

Too bad me and Chuck aren’t nearly as cute in the glasses as the kids are, but this was a family funny time. You can check out the rest of the pics here…

Brooke was a Princess. Of course, she doesn’t need the costume to be my little Princess.

David went as Optimus Prime. Here he is with his friends, Colton and Caleb, all trying to look tough.

Here they are at the Duck Pond. The number written on the bottom of the duck let them know how many pieces of candy they got out of the candy box. Why does it look like they are trying to find the ducks with the “3’s” on their bottoms?

The day turned out to be nice and sunny and David and Brooke had so much fun. They each won a prize in the toy walk and got to play all kinds of games and bounce around on various inflatables.

I guess when she becomes that famous foot model one day, this picture might be worth something. Ha ha ha!

If by chance she doesn’t make it as a foot model, she’s trying out a few full body poses. What do you think?
